Luton were looking to use the pace of their front two to chase long balls and turn the home defence and in one such move; Bell was forced to rush out of the home goal to clear just in front of the attacker.

Midway through the half, it was the hosts who almost took the lead. A ball through the centre to Brister was played wide to Larkins and the cross from the by-line to the near post was flicked on by Brister, but the away keeper stopped the effort with an outstretched foot.
Wroxham were having the better of the play leading up to half time. Parker saw a free-kick from 25 yards gathered by the keeper at the second attempt, before Symonds shot just wide. At the other end, Pasque headed clear a corner after a dangerous attack forced Shields to concede the set-piece.
Kindred replaced Brister and within a minute saw her shot deflected for a corner, then from the set-piece had a shot cleared of the line, as the sides went into the break goalless.
In the opening minute of the second half, Flatt shot just wide after good work from Cooper and Larkins before Bell was forced to smother a cross from the right flank after a quick break by the visitors, then punch clear a corner, conceded by Pleavin when cutting out a dangerous cross.
Both sides were once again looking for that opening goal. Symonds conceded possession after a good run from Holloway down the wing and in their next attack, pressure from Kindred saw a long ball spilled by the away keeper and a corner conceded. Unfortunately for the hosts the set-piece was too close to the keeper.
Hodgson for her debut and Bullard were introduced at the expense of Pasque and Symonds as the hosts looked to freshen up their side.
The visitors went close with a shot which just evaded Bell’s far post then in their next attack, a cross and shot was acrobatically tipped around the post by Bell.
With ten minutes remaining, Holloway played a ball into the area and Bullard’s shot was cleared off the line, kindred following up had her shot blocked before the keeper then saved with her foot before the visitors scrambled the ball out for a corner which was cleared.
However, two minutes later, it was the visitors who broke the deadlock. Picking up a goal-kick in central midfield the ball was played wide and after cutting inside, the ball was fired across Bell into the far corner of the goal. Shortly afterwards, a quick break through the centre saw the Hatters hit the post before the ball was cleared by the hosts.
In the dying minutes, Kindred’s header from a Larkins free-kick was saved before Cooper picking up the ball from a corner saw her shot deflected for a corner in the last action, of what was an entertaining and highly competitive game.
