Within minutes , Wroxham extended their lead , with a contender for goal of the season. Left Back , Travis Dodsworth collected the ball around the half way line. He ran fully 30 yards unchallenged before unleashing an unstoppable shot past the statuesque ‘keeper from round 20 yards.
At the interval the Yachtsmen appeared to have the upper hand leading by two goals, although the next goal was always likely to be pivotal. Sadly for Wroxham, within a minute of the restart, Haringey, buoyed on by enthusiastic home support, pulled a goal back, from inside the six yard box.
Momentum shifted and within minutes the home side were level. Wroxham failed to clear the ball from inside the penalty area and striker Joe Waight got his second goal of the game from close range.
Wroxham were under pressure for the next quarter of the game, but resolute defending and a couple of good saves from Ollie Sutton ,meant that the Yachtsmen weathered the storm, and in the closing minutes fashioned chances to win the game.
However after the six minutes of added time, the score stood at 2-2. A point apiece, leaving both teams still in the bottom four.
