After a week when waterlogged pitches have played havoc with Non League fixtures, Wroxham travel down to the Essex coast to take on Brightlingsea Regent, who are one of the few clubs whose home fixtures seem able to withstand the weather.

While Wroxham’s Tuesday night fixture against New Salamis was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, Brightlingsea were similarly affected when their scheduled game against Gorleston at Great Yarmouth on Wednesday evening was called off.

The Yachtsmen will endeavour to put behind them their home defeat against title chasing Felixstowe and Walton United last Saturday, and tomorrow face a Brightlingsea team whose recent form has been poor , taking only one point from their last six fixtures. That point came from a 1-1 draw against Redbridge last Saturday.

Brightlingsea sit comfortably in mid table, but desperately need to halt their recent decline in form. When the two clubs earlier in the season the Yachtsmen scored two late goals to take all three points.
