Matt has worked tirelessly and with dedication to try to turn the situation around and improve our league position. He has been a great servant to this club and I wished for nothing more than for him to be successful as manager. However results have not been good enough for some time now and I didn’t see that changing .

Nobody believes that this squad should be relegated and therefore very reluctantly I’ve made the decision that we need a different way forward. I do want to thank Matt for everything he has done, He is a fine man and a good coach. I wish him well for the future.

I’m conscious that we have an important game on Tuesday evening against Felixstowe and Walton and another statement will be made in the near future.
